Richard Baird - Project Manager (Framing Crew)

     Rich joined Premier Construction in 2003 bringing over 20 years of carpentry experience.  During his career, he has built and maintained residential and commercial properties throughout the world.

     In 1980, Rich joined the US Army as an Airborne Medic and was assigned to the Headquarters of the 18th Airborne Corps at Ft. Bragg, North Carolina.  While on active duty, he was a certified EMT at Ft. Bragg and earned his Expert Medical Badge.  Upon leaving active duty, Rich joined the California National Guard where he served until 1986.

     After moving to California in 1983, Rich began studying architectural design at El Camino Community College.  He continued his education by completing the Carpentry Apprentice Program at Rose Hills Community College in Whittier, California in 1987. 

     While attending college, Rich began working in the construction industry as a laborer and then as a builder specializing in custom homes, heavy timber framing and custom apartments.  In 1991, he began studying with the New Tribes Mission and completed his courses in 1997 in Florida.  Rich moved to Florida in 1994 and began working for Gebben Construction as a custom home framer and roofer.  In 1996, he expanded his construction resume working locally on steel construction, foundations and form setting.  Rich is an ordained minister and in 1998 went abroad to continue his service with the New Tribes Mission.  While serving in Panama, he worked on maintaining air bases, built private homes and commercial structures and constructed bridges and aquaducts.
