Greg Gebben - Senior Project Manager
Greg has 32 years of construction experience and has been with Premier since 2002. Prior to joining our company, Greg owned a framing and trim carpentry business specializing in estate and log homes as well as post, beam and timber framing. During this time, Greg became one of Orlando's most respected framing contractors.
Greg started in the construction business when he was 16 years old. Working under the guidance of Donald Baas, Southwest Michigan's premier craftsman and estate home builder, Greg completed the apprentice program in carpentry in 1980. He went on to teach Vocational Building Trades at United Township High School in East Moline, Illinois for four years and was a member of Illinois Solar Institute for Solar Homes and Retrofit Construction. In addition, he taught carpentry for the trade union and home improvement courses at a local community college. Greg wrote and developed the the curriculum and evaluation for the Vocational Construction Education and was a member of the Advisory Board of Directors for Construction Education.
Greg was born in Kalamazoo, Michigan and graduated from Portage Central High School in 1976. Next, Greg attended Central Michigan University and graduated Magna Cum Laude in 1980 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Construction Engineering and Management, and Secondary Vocational Education in construction. Continuing his education, he went on to study towards his Masters Degree in Vocational Education at Western Illinois University and the University of Iowa.
Playing and coaching sports have been a major part of Greg's life. In high school he lettered in three sports and was co-captain in Football, Hockey and Baseball and earned All-Conference Honors in each sport. While attending Central Michigan, Greg was a three-letter winner in football playing inside and outside linebacker as well as longsnapper on special teams. In 1979, his team went undefeated and finished the year as Chippewa Mid-American Conference Champions. While teaching, Greg also served as head coach of the football and baseball teams. He guided his football team to three consecutive Western Big 6 titles with a 26-1 record, including back-to-back undefeated seasons. In the off-season he officiated wrestling and hockey.
Greg currently has three dughters and enjoys fitness and conditioning, cycling, golf, skiing, hockey, travel and going to the beach.
