Brian North - Project Manager (Renovations)
Brian joined Premier Construction in 2005 and brings nearly 10 years of experience in the construction and hardware industries. Prior to joining Premier, he worked as a Legislative Assistant in the Washington, DC office of Congressman John L. Mica.
In 1996, Brian enlisted in the US Army and served on active duty as a Combat Engineer. Within months of joining, he was assigned to the 44th Engineer Batallion in South Korea. In Korea, his assignments including guarding Freedom Bridge, the last bridge before entering the Demilitarized Zone. Upon leaving Korea, Brian was assigned to the 3rd Infantry Division at Ft. Stewart, Georgia and served in that unit until being honorably discharged.
Brian's construction experience began in high school while working at his family's concrete block plant and hardware store in upstate New York. One of his main responsibilities was providing concrete block estimates for all types of buildings from houses and restaurants to schools and department stores. In addition, he has managed several aspects of the hardware business from inventory and ordering to merchandising. He also has worked on total home renovations and smaller projects such as exterior painting, vinyl siding and interior remodeling.
After being discharged from the Army, Brian earned his Bachelor's Degree in International Relations and Economics from The George Washington University in Washington, DC. While in school, he began working for U.S. Congressman John L. Mica in his Washington office. His responsibilities included working with Corps of Engineers on project permitting, military construction and beach enourishment.
